Notes from the Campaign Trail: May 10

Dear Alaskans —

I want to be very clear about something, when I get to Washington I will caucus with the Democrats. Unfortunately, there has been some fake news from establishment political parties trying to make voters believe otherwise. Truthfully, this epitomizes everything that is wrong with party politics.

I am running for Congress as a nonpartisan Independent. Our two-party system is broken. I am not seeking the endorsement of either the Democratic or Republican Party. As a true Independent and an Alaskan, I will prioritize the needs of our state, not party politics, and work for an Alaska that is strong and vibrant. As your United States representative, I will put Alaska first and will be willing to work with both parties to solve problems and get things done.

My stance on issues and values are clearly outlined on my website at https://dralgrossak.com/issues.
Please contact me with any questions or concerns at hello@dralgrossak.com.

As I mentioned recently, last week I participated in a Congressional Candidate Forum hosted by the Associated Students of the University of Alaska Fairbanks (ASUAF) Senate. You can watch the forum section I participated in here.

I look forward to the next candidate forum here on May 12 at Dena’ina Center hosted by the Petroleum Club. After that I will be back on the road, and you can follow my travels on Facebook.

And most important of all VOTE!

  • Special Primary ballots must be postmarked by June 11.
  • The Special election on August 16.
  • The General Primary election is also on August 16.

Thank you,

Al Gross
